The unique and historical Presidents Desk, or the Resolute Desk as it is sometimes called, sits in The Oval Office of the White House and is used by President Obama.

It is now being reproduced by our company, The Presidents Desk Canada, and is hand made, detail by detail, using time honoured techniques handed down to our master craftsmen by generations before them.

Every carving and moulding is as individual as the rest. There is no mass production of this beautiful piece of furniture meaning that your copy is as much a true reproduction of the original as is possible.

The history of the desk is quite interesting. You can trace it from England to America by clicking on the 'History' button on the left menu.

The Presidents desk is being made in three different sizes and in two different woods, Mahogany and Oak.

Each desk is built entirely from 100% solid wood, hand made and hand carved in every detail. The drawers are hand dovetailed and custom fitted into the desk frame and have solid wood drawer bottoms to ensure it looks just like the original. The only modern day accessory we have incorporated into the design is the use of file drawer slides for added convenience.

The original door, as depicted in the JFK picture with John Jr. peeking through, is also on our desk.

The Desk is finished in a distressed look to represent a period piece of furniture that is supposed to be over 120 years old. We then finally hand gild with gold, the antique leather tops to offer you a truly unique and magnificent looking piece of furniture that would grace any home or office.

Many Presidents have used the Presidents Desk while in office.

We have recently been commissioned by The William J.Clinton Presidential Center to provide our Presidents Desk for the New Presidential Library in Little Rock, Arkansas.This is further confirmation of the authenticity of our desk.
